Sudan Biota - An online publication - Number 1: 2013
Areas of Interest:
1- New or updated locality records of biota in Sudan.
2- New or updated species, subspecies, races and varieties of biota in Sudan.
3- DNA, RNA and amino acid sequences.
Author Guidelines:
1- Submission of a manuscript implies that the work has not been published before, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that author(s) abide by the ethical clearance when relevant.

3- Manuscripts are all peer-reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers.
Manuscript format and Citation:
1- Cover sheet: This mandatory page includes manuscript title, names and institutional and electronic addresses of authors. Up to seven key words may be given.
2- Text:
a- Should be typewritten in English (UK spelling), 1.5 space and left justified.
b- Use Rich Text Format (RTF), Times New Roman format and 12 points. Separate paragraphs with space. Sentences should be separated by a single space (character). Do not use page break.
c- Genus and species names should be italicised.
d- Measurements should follow the metric system. Integers greater than 10 should be given numerically.
e- Tables, figures and maps should be included after the references and should also be submitted as Excel document.
Deposition of Material:
1- Herbarium samples prepared in the conventional way should be deposited in the herbarium of Department of Botany and Sudan Natural History Museum (SNHM), University of Khartoum, and at The Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC), Wad Medani.
2- Animal samples prepared in the conventional way should be deposited in SNHM, University of Khartoum.
3- Genetic material to be deposited in Department of Botany, Department of Zoology University of Khartoum and in the Plant Genetic Resources Unit, ARC.
An authenticated verification of deposition of material should be forward to the editor-in-chief.
